Summer Youth Program

The Summer Youth Program provides an
opportunity for students to maintain what they
learned in the classroom as well as prepare
for the upcoming school year. The program
focuses on reading, science, and math, but
also offers lessons on communication and lifeskills
such as conflict resolution and problem
solving. The students prepare a final project
to share what they learned and their overall
experience in the program. The project is
presented using PowerPoint to help develop
the students' public speaking and presentation
skills. The program also supports the Georgia
Workforce Development Program by using
workers from that program to assist in day-today
computer lab maintenance.
